Regulation of the gaming sector in Latin America is advancing steadily and has become a key factor for the industry's growth, transparency, and competitiveness. With the aim of fostering an open dialogue about the challenges and opportunities this process entails, International Gaming Women (IGW) is presenting the virtual panel "Gaming Regulation: Challenges and Opportunities in Latin America" today at 5:00 p.m. (Peru time).

The meeting will feature the participation of legal and compliance experts from various countries:

Iliana Pineda Echeverri (Colombia), General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Aquila Global Group S.A.S. / Wplay.co.

Mariel Roxana Meza Rodríguez (Peru), Partner at Salazar & Zúñiga Abogados.

Mariana Xavier Leite (Brazil), Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer (DPO) at VBET Brazil.

Marcela Martínez (Mexico), General Counsel at Producciones Leonida / Mexbet.

Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes (Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain), Vice President at Gaming Laboratories International (GLI).

Neil Montgomery (Brazil), Founding Partner and Managing Partner at Montgomery, recognized as one of the most influential lawyers in igaming worldwide.

Throughout the panel, specialists will share their views on regulatory advances in Colombia, Peru, Brazil, and Mexico, as well as the challenges facing the region in terms of compliance, data protection, and institutional strengthening. Additionally, the role of regulation as a tool to build trust, attract investment, and open new business opportunities will be addressed.

IGW emphasizes that "regulation not only regulates the industry, it also opens opportunities," a premise that will guide this space for debate and reflection.

The meeting will also be an invitation to build a stronger and more transparent future for the sector.
